Extra cost: resi occupants expect balconies and office bldg preserving smooth glassy look not to attractive to resi market,, needs more sircon

Greening the front of the house

I have been wanting a 'column of Green' at the front of the house for a long time, but the clematis I planted a long time ago has taken until this year to look really healthy. It has grown to 2 m high. I cannot get the kind of trellis I fixed up three years ago, so I have had to get some rather more expensive framed trellis and fix that up. It is difficult to get something that large and heavy up to that height when you have no one to help, but I made some nifty little aluminium slot-in brackets which held it in place while I was able to drill the final fixing holes.

15.6.14: Henry is now looking after Oliver's Ruby, and during our day in Southampton, he allowed me to drive it around the block. We had some problems on the hill, I E he had to get out and walk along side to reduce the weight uphill!!
